Art Attack!: A Sneaker Outreach Project

Art has never been my forte, but I’ve always had an appreciation for it. One time, I saw a picture on Facebook of the work done by Mumu’s cousin on her shoes, and I thought they were great! I didn’t think that time, though, that this idea would be great for volunteer work!

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, thru its Caring Cup program, will be coming to Cebu for a Sneaker Outreach Project in partnership with Converse and Mercy in Action Foundation.

The event, called Art Attack!, will be held on June 27 (Saturday) from 10am to 12nn in Talisay, Cebu. If you would like to experience designing Converse sneakers that the rescued street children of Mercy in Action can use to school, this is your chance! They are looking for 30 volunteers who can help out during this day — it will be full of food, games, laughter, and memories!

To score an exclusive invite, simply follow the mechanics on the poster below.

For Cebuanos, I’m pretty sure you know how to get to Talisay. But if you don’t, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® will be providing transportation from The Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu.

I hope you can make time out of your busy schedule to spend time with the children and make them smile! :)

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to go. I hope I can come across a post or a blog about it from one of the volunteers, though! :)

I love your new blog name! <3 Also, that's mighty generous of Converse (if they're partners/sponsors of the event) and Coffee Bean to do this for kids. Though from experience, Converse shoes aren't exactly mud-friendly.

Thank you, Kisty! Your new blog name is on point as well! <3

Anyway, I guess the shoes are going to get dirty easily since they’ll probably be white. But it’s okay, at least the children have something to use. :)
